Getting The Best Out Of Cheap Travel

A good vacation is what every one looks forward to after a hard period of selfless work. But will it fit your budget? Traveling cheap with quality is not easy. You have to pre plan, arrange matters and look to help yourself as much as possible. Most probably, all fancy features will be cut out in a budget trip and you will have to do most of the things yourself.

The first thing you will have to keep in mind is to plan. Do not forget this! Take at least a month and even more if possible to book tickets, reserve rooms and make things comfortable. Pre booking through auctions can give you great deals! You could get a great trip by logging on to E Bay and checking out if tickets to your destinations are available.

If no such deals are there, then unfortunately you will have to take the no frills flight to where ever you are going. That means, you sacrifice all those great and quality services good airlines give you. You will have to self deliver food and no timely customer care etc.

If a group vacation can be organized, this would significantly cut down costs. Group trips are cheaper as buying in bulk gives a better rate and the entire group and not one person bears the cost. So if you can ask a few friends to tag along, then great!

After you have booked your means of transport through an airline, then it is time to look at a staying place. Now is the time to decide how much time you will spend and if you need luxurious surroundings or normal and plane furnishings would do. If you do not stay at a place for very long, then it is preferable that you book a tourist lodge. These are cheaper and in some countries, you might even find yourself a guide from these locations!

After reaching your destination, you would like to go around sight seeing. Remember if you purchase a tourist package, then your living and everything else is taken care of. Busses will take you around and your safety is assured. This might be better then going around yourself. A tourist package can be bought either after reaching your vacation spot or much before. I suggest that you buy it before and do it through an agency who can give you a good deal.

There are some safety tips however that you should keep in mind. Running after reducing costs completely might lead you astray and you might even get cheated! There are many fake sites on the Internet selling fake low cost tickets and attractive tourist packages. Be careful of these and go to only those sites that are recommended and highly rated. Don’t stint a little extra money after you reach your destination. If you get a trusted and recommended agency to guide you, do not fall for another individual who might offer an almost 0 value on his services. With crime rates shooting, it is better to be safe than sorry.

A good budget travel experience can bring joy and relaxation. If organized properly with all precaution and proper management, then these trips can relieve your stress preventing burnouts and exhaustion. A vacation is required to give one a break and you can see your productivity rising after a short break.

Sudoku - A Worldwide Phenomenon

If you havn't heard of Sudoku, then the chances are that you have been living in a bunker for the last year or so.

Sudoku is a new game that is taking the puzzle world by storm. It’s gone from a little known topic, to having over a million searches a month on the web… that’s as much as Paris Hilton.

For those of you who don’t know what Sudoku is, it’s essentially a game of numbers.

You start with a 9 x 9 grid that is split up into 9, 3 x 3 grids.

This initial grid will have a series of numbers strewn over it in what seems to be a completely random madness.

However, there is a method behind the madness here. You see, you need to ensure that you have the numbers 1-9 in each of the 3 x 3 grids, however you cannot have a number in the same line as itself in another grid.

Sounds confusing, but when you see a Sudoku game, it will all make sense.

Once you start a Sudoku game, it is EXTREMELY hard to stop. I’m not a huge fan of puzzles and crosswords and so on, but once I start a Sudoku game, I’m hooked; I just have to complete it.

Now, for the most part, a single Sudoku game can take anywhere from about 5 minutes, up to several hours (if you pick a particularly hard one… and depending on your level of skill), so there are games for all types of players.

The fuel to this worldwide phenomenon is being fueled by the seemingly huge prizes that are starting to spring up for worldwide Sudoku events & tournaments.

Ranging from a few thousand dollars, all the way up to several hundred thousand dollars (yes you read right, that’s $100,000+) it can be seriously rewarding if you get into this game in a big way.

Fortunately, since Sudoku can be extremely complex, there are pieces of software out there that can help you with your solutions if you get stuck. All you need to do is put in your ’solution’ (or the solution that you think it is) and ‘auto calculate’ whether it is right or not.

It’s a fast way to find out whether you have the right result or not.

If you are going the offline road (meaning you have gotten your Sudoku game from the newspaper or magazine etc.) then you’re just going to have to resort to good ole pen and paper figuring out methods.

Bottom line… My personal opinion is that this Sudoku craze is here to stay. Something this addictive and enjoyable can’t be a fly-by-the-night fad that will disappear in another 6 months.

Stonehenge funny jokes competition is an annual event which is held every year on the first weekend in the month of March. It is a very popular event attended by people from all over the world and across all walks & spheres of life.

This year there were a record number of people in attendance: up by 30% over last year. Nearly 100,000 people travelling to Stonehenge serves as a proof in itself that the event is in big demand. People were, setting up their camps, organising their humorous stalls; selling literature on jokes, comedy, and even offering crash courses to would be comedians over the weekend.

According to 2006 program, there was one West Country Comedy school offering its services to help you realise your ambitions to become a real comedian. We took advantage of this offer and sent along James Mcdugal: our humorous/comedy correspondence. He was put through a very intensive training program for eight hours on Friday. He was given instructions on style, delivery, posture, use of body language, voice and gestures to enhance his message. He spent the following morning actually putting into practice what he had learnt the previous day in preparation for an entry into Stonehenge one liner competition held on the Saturday evening. He was scheduled to deliver his stomach crusher one liners at 9.00pm. Below is a list of James on liners. James had the audience in stitches… He generated the greatest amount of laughter because he fell flat on his fact as he walked onto the stage… He broke the ice well… after that it was piece of cake for him…

What happens when fish crosses an elephant? A swimming trunk.
Why didn’t the skeleton go to the disco? Because he had no body to go with.
Why did the girl take crayons to her bed? To draw the curtains.
What did the mother phone say to the baby phone? You are too small to get engaged.
Why did the girl wear the ring on the wrong finger? To show people she was married to the wrong man.
Why did the elephant eat the candle? Because he wanted a light snack.
Have you heard the joke about butter? Don’t spread it.
What do prisoners use to call each other? Cell phones.
Why do seagulls fly over the sea? If they flew over the bay they would be baygulls.
What did the ground say to the earth quake? You crack me up..
Why did the boy study in the aeroplane? Because he wanted higher education.
What is the best time to go the bed? When the bed won’t come to you.
Why did the lobster blush? Because he saw the seaweed.
Why did the toilet paper go down the hill? To get to the bottom..
Dad, son school joke…The dad said to his boy… How do you like going to school? The going bit is fine, the coming back bit is fine.. but I am not so keen on the bit in the middle.

There were 20 entrants in total and each comedian had 5 minutes to make their audience laugh. The deciding factor amongst other things was the roar of the laughter. This one factor was the clincer.. this alone determined the overall winner of the Stonehenge “Joker of the Year 2006″ … After the presentation which lasted for about an two hours.. The judges made their decision and came back to announce it at 11pm.

Jo Gormely the president of the Stonehenge “Jokers” plc said.. Ladies and gentlemen.. welcome to the Stonehenge… Here are the results of tonight’s competition in reverse order…

Third place goes to “Tim Cutler”.. from Australia. Tim was presented with a brass trophy as well as a
